Botox
Neuromodulators contains botulinum toxin type A which is a neurotoxin agent that can temporarily paralyze a muscle. Neuromodulators has a range of areas it can be injected from cosmetic to medical uses. There are several brands of neuromodulators that are commonly used today (Botox, Dysport, Nuceiva, Xeomin, Letybo).
The clinical effect of neuromodulator may last up to 3-4 months. Dosing, costs, and results will vary per person due to physical makeup, environmental factors, and lifestyle. Botox injections can last an average of 3-4 months, depending on each person and dosing used. Some clients may need touch ups every 3 months, while others can go as long as 5-6 months between sessions. It all depends on your body and how quickly. It metabolizes the toxin.
PRP
Platelet Rich Plasma therapy works by triggering natural hair growth and skin rejuvenation by increasing the blood supply to the skin and scalp. PRP has several clinical and aesthetic indications. For hair follicles, this can effectively boost hair production and thickness as well. For the face, collagen production is boosted, which is what makes our skin feel plumper and more elastic. PRP can be combined with other modalities (microneedling, peels, lasers, injection only, hair restoration, etc.) A series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. Results will vary on each person's condition, age, lifestyle, and concerns.
Will PRP treatments stop me from losing hair?
No. PRP therapy only works on improving the growth of your existing healthy hair follicles. While it can also help rejuvenate dead hair follicles, any hair follicles that have not been treated can still be affected by the natural aging process.
Preparing for PRP
- No NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, aspirin, diclofenac) before treatment
- Stop steroid medications 2-3 weeks before treatment
- No alcohol 72 hours before treatment (Alcohol affects stem cells)
- Avoid vitamin E, herbal supplements, fish oil 1 week prior
Dermal Fillers
The injection of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers into different areas of the face to help add volume, hydration, contouring, add lift, and structure. It can also help combat signs of aging, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and create a more youthful and natural appearance. Amount and results will vary per individual concern, age, skin condition, and lifestyle. Some may need several sessions to achieve the desired goal.
